I made a black forest one last year. Think it was a James Martin recipe on BBC Good Food, really lovely.

NO JELLY IN TRIFLE, it's the law!

Chocolate orange! Orange jelly set over Jaffa cakes and tinned mandarin segments, chocolate custard, whipped cream, choc orange buttons or segments. Amazing!

Oh wow, you may have just made my Christmas food a bit easier. I need a gluten free trifle but don't want to make my own sponge due to time. Schar jaffa cakes it is! Thanks.

I do the cheat's Platinum Jubilee citrus trifle - https://feastgloriousfeast.com/lemon-amaretti-trifle/
I make Birds custard with full fat milk, stirring until nearly cold so I can get the dollopness just right by adding extra milk if necessary. Oh, and I buy Madeira cake and sandwich with bought lemon curd.

I am planning a limoncello and marscapone one.
No recipe, I will be making it up based on a vague principle

I was going to suggest the lemon one they did for the Platinum Jubilee: Platinum Pudding Recipe | The Royal Family

Frozen raspberries are great because they melt and the juice gets soaked up in whatever you're using as the cake bit

I made my first trifle, inspired by this thread! I more or less winged it. Tesco trifle sponges, with Disaronno instead of sherry, strawberry jelly, tinned fruit cocktail, birds custard (made from the powder), then whipped cream and sprinkles on top.

Next time I'd make the jelly and the custard thicker, and I'd use less cream, or maybe none at all.

It was good, and I now feel like I really ought to buy a nice trifle bowl, because I plan to make it a lot. I'm also going to try Tiramisu.

I also made my first! I did trifle sponges, dried apricots cooked in the juice of 4 oranges for 25 mins and chopped - juice poured over too, crumbled amaretti biscuits, Sherry, custard and whipped cream with pomegranate seeds on top. Lovely lovely
