Bread machine help

The liquid from the basket in my bread machine leaked into the bottom. Then it leaked out the bottom onto my kitchen counter. Do you think it's safe to use after that?

It probably depends whether on its way out the liquid got into the electrics. And it wouldn't be pure water that might dry off with no permanent harm - there would be salt etc in it. I doubt I'd risk it.
But if it leaked once won't it be likely to leak again anyway?
