egg-free creme pat recipe-not vegan

Dh is allergic to eggs so need an egg-free creme pat recipe, all the ones I have seen are vegan.

Has anyone got one they could recommend?

You need to mix egg-free custard with cream. There are plenty of eggless custard recipes online to choose from.

I think I'd be resorting to the dry custard powder in this case and make it up with full fat milk and maybe add a bit of cream to it when done and definitely some good vanilla. A bit on the yellow side compared to the real thing but tasty!

I was going to suggest something similar to @marylou25 . Make custard using Birds custard powder, using slightly less milk. Cool. Then whip cream and fold into the cooled custard.
