How do you store fruit in the fridge?

Getting fed up with punnets of blueberries/strawberries/half an apple etc. Does anyone have any suggestions for a multi compartment tub that would take several types of fruit to keep the fridge a bit tidier?

Apples, pears, bananas etc all sit on the benchtop. Never thought to put them in the fridge!

Someone recently told me that if you store berries in a jar or sealed box- they last much longer. I haven't tried it, but I normally store them in the crisper drawer. I then forget all about them and find a furry lump a week later! 🙄

Glass sealed boxes not plastic for citrus fruit. Nylon vegetable bags for other fruit

Yes, I was hoping they'd last longer. I've found several plastic boxes but none of them are ideal.

Btw I keep fruit on the worktop too, but sometimes I use half an apple with my breakfast and need to put it in the fridge.

Most fruit doesn't need refrigeration. I only put soft fruit like berries, grapes, melon, or half a lemon/grapefruit in mine. Everything else stays out.
