Blender suitable for veg

I like to disguise veg in meals by blending it up. I also add whole veg on the side but like to sneak things like spinach, broccoli, cauliflower etc in sauces that I know my children won't eat. Can anyone recommend a blender? I used to hand blend but it was so messy.
I've just ordered one of the ninja smoothie blenders but not sure it will blend raw veg

Best bet for blending anything thats harder is a Vitamix - it can smash up even the hardest of stuff without worry (even bone apparently although I wouldnt know cos Im veggie!) Nuts its totally happy about so raw veg wouldnt be an issue.
A nutribullet is great (Ive got both) but nowhere near as efficient as a Vitamix. It is however a lot cheaper. Vitamix are expensive (but possibly available cheaper second hand - might be worth considering)

Also - I think adding a bit of water helps. You'll get a creamier mush and the blades will find it easier work.
