warm fondant icing - am I about to poison dd's entire class?

DD's party on Sunday. I had the fondant icing in the fridge, but on the advice of the cake shop who sold me the icing, put it in the airing cupboard to warm it up in order to make it malleable and easier to use. Now I'm not going to use it until Sat night.

If I just keep it in the kitchen after it has now got warmish, am I going to make bugs grow and risk poisoning dd's class?

Please help. I fear this will not be the last plea for help over the next 48 hours as I start baking for the masses.

thanks. I won't spend tomorrow racing round finding somewhere to buy a replacement packet then.
