What else can you do with the pistachio spread from Costco, if you don't eat bread?

Freeze some bananas, put frozen bananas and pistache spread into a blender, freeze in individual serving sizes. Healthy ice cream.

Also works well with
Bananas + peanut butter
Bananas + Nutella
bananas + just about any fruit.

horseHorseHorse · 15/10/2024 17:18

Use it as a dip.

Sounds brilliant!

The question is, can I keep the lid on the jar until I buy some bananas? The stuff is INSANE.

I am. A dip for a spoon.

I like it with fruit or on crackers!

I am getting round to making palmiers. Not sure of spelling

Also fudge, what about that?

Love this! This is the only sane thing to do with pistachio spread. The stuff is incredible!!

Sourisblanche · 15/10/2024 17:40

I like apple slices with peanut butter so I’m sure pistachio would work.

I’ve never tasted it - must update this weeks online shopping!

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 15/10/2024 17:43

I have the same problem with the Biscoff spread. I buy it intending to make cheesecake or rocky road, find I don't have the other necessary ingredients, and just eat it out the jar with a spoon at 3am.

So you have my sympathies, OP.

WartOrNot · 15/10/2024 18:05

I don't think it would work on fruit, like peanut butter does. I think it would be too sweet. It's much sweeter than peanut butter, almost as sweet as that other dip-for-a-spoon, Biscoff spread.

Pistachio spread Shock There's no Costco anywhere near me. Please tell me somewhere else sells it! I love pistachio flavoured things.

Lifestooshort71 · 15/10/2024 18:11

Like M&S salted caramel sauce in a jar - haven't got as far as sauce yet, just amazingly addictive by the spoonful

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 15/10/2024 18:13

Right -the one Costco sells is also available on Amazon, so I've ordered some!

MagpiePi · 15/10/2024 18:14

You can’t really improve on eating it with a spoon, unless it is by using a bigger spoon.

I suppose you could spread it on rice cakes instead of bread if you had to.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 15/10/2024 18:15

Smear it around the inside of a mug and make a cappuccino in it 😋 I had this in an Italian cafe last year and it was amazing! Alternatively, I like to dip pretzels in it for a sweet and salty combo.
For those if you not near a Costco, I got mine from TK Max and Lidl also sometimes have it on their Italian week.

The additional benefit is that calories don't count at 3am.

I got mine in Italian week at lidl, never opened it yet, its sat there with me thinking 'what can I do with this'

They also don't count if you are standing up.
And nuts and sugar come from plants so count towards your five a day.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 16/10/2024 18:05

Mine had arrived when I got home from work today. OMG. I had a little spoonful and now it's calling to me from the cupboard!
