scones - fruit or cheese

Disclaimer- I’ve not made this but it’s a BBC good food recipe so should work! I’m sure it would be ok with caster instead of brown sugar.

Steamed pudding with the marmalade.

Bananas in foil with vanilla, choc chips, icing sugar pecans and baked.

Any older cookbook (WI or Good Housekeeping type) has 150 different methods of dealing with flour, sugar, vanilla, butter, milk and egg.

My go to sponge recipe from Jane Asher

125g SR Flour
125g Caster Sugar
125g Butter/Margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder (omit for cupcakes)
For chocolate cakes replace 25g of flour with 25g of cocoa

All ingredients together and mix.

This makes a Victoria sponge or cupcakes or traybake, double etc for bigger/more.

Absolutely foolproof
