Would you eat this chicken?

Have some chicken thighs that hadn't been wrapped properly before freezing, cling film round the packaging. I believe that they're freezer burnt, is it safe to just remove the skin or would you not risk it?

They're from July.

No. It'll be safe to eat but will have an awful texture and may taste bad.

Ah!! I did think so Blush I hate throwing food so was hoping I could chuck it in a stew providing it smelt okay once it was defrosted. Happy to admit I'm a bit too lax though!

Not sure what the greyish tinge to the skin is, wasn't there when I put it in the freezerConfused

I wouldn't have thought twice tbh 😄 Stew sounds fine, surely that would get rid of any texture issue.

I'd do them slow cooked and pull off the bone. To try and fix/hide texture.

I've added another photo in better lighting.

Anyone know what the off colour could be? Is it possible it's just blood?

I'd intended on taking the skin off anyway, but I'm also pregnant and don't want to risk it unsafe

It's freezer burned. It's not unsafe to eat but will have a dry texture and may taste bad/stale.
