John Torode ,pompous or controlling

Is it just me or is John torode being maybe a little pompous at best or even a little controlling in throwing out / hiding wife Lisa Fauklners heirloom potato masher as he says the only way to masher potato is to use a fork ,the way he was taught.

Definitely has too much time on his hands to be a) mashing spuds with a fork and b) so emotionally invested in the issue.

I don't know how attached anyone is to a potato masher, heirloom or not, but Lisa should have battered him with the masher for discarding her things.

I like John, but he always always looks hungover to me 😂

His wife however can get in the bin, so annoying

Haven't seen this, but both fork & masher are hard work & not very effective.
The culinary equivalent of using a washboard instead of a washing machine.
Use a ricer - quick & smooth results.
