Christmas cake - halving the recipe

I like to use Mary Berry’s Christmas cake recipe but this year I only want to do half the recipe (as I want to try Nigella’s chocolate Christmas cake instead) but I’d still like to make a smaller MB Christmas cake for FIL.

If I want to make half the size do I just halve both ingredients and cooking time? I’m no baker so sorry if this sounds like a silly question.

Halve the ingredients, but cooking time might vary, depending upon the depth of the tin - make sure it's small enough, as a thin pancake will burn.

Halve the ingredients, from memory it was around 4 hours full size so I’d probably start checking after 2.5
