Would you eat this salmon?

Bought some fillets of salmon today from M&S. We have salmon every week and the fish in this pack looks quite red compared to the normal pink colour. When my husband brought home the shop today I said the salmon looks funny and I wouldn't want to eat it. He thinks I'm being a fuss pot (which I am when it comes to food to be honest!) and says it's probably just a different and nothing to worry about.

What do you all think?

If it smells fine it will be fine.
Salmon can be red or pink.

Ok this is reassuring - thank you. Sometimes I just need someone to provide a bit of logic !!

Have you got a picture?

Salmon can range from light pink to deep orange. If it smells fine it will be fine.

Just went to take a pic and he's already put it in the oven 😱I'm also a bit stressed because the packet had very slightly popped when we unpacked it so a bit of the juice (or whatever you'd call it) was leaking out. I'm worried it's been open for ages!

If it's sockeye, that's naturally redder.

As above, also wild salmon is red and not pink.
