Yeah I googled too and found recipes. But you can also find plenty of recipes online for tuna and banana salad, so I'm not sure that's a reasonable metric for decision making.

Ooh yes! I had a marvellous salad the other day, involving quinoa, aubergines, sweet potatoes, pomegranate seeds, and other lovely stuff. It was both pretty and delicious.

Yes I'd say it goes well together if both are cooked to be soft with some nice Moroccan or red tai curry type spices. Yum.

Both aubergine and sweet potato go together in the bin. They are both horrible. Do not defile chickpeas in this way!

Sweet potato would ruin lovely aubergine and chickpeas. Such a claggy feeling vegetable.
