I could make a crumble but thinking of trying something different. I am not a natural baker so something easy please!

Plum wine is lovely. You’ll need pectinase to stop it going hazy, but it was the first wine I made and dead easy.

Duck with plum sauce is a favourite from the Chinese, no idea how to make it though!

Stone and half them, put them in a tub and cover them in granulated sugar.
Every day or so, drain off any syrup (which is delicious on ice cream) and add a bit more sugar to keep the plums covered.
When syrup stops coming off, you'll have crystallised plums, which are nice as sweets or gifts, and will keep fresh for about a month. If they last that long...

Half and stone a few, placing them cut side down in a cake tin which has been greased with butter and sprinkled with brown sugar.
Top with a sponge flavoured with vanilla and a pinch of ginger.
Bake for a little longer than usual at a slightly lower temperature to make something more pudding than cakes. Turn out while warm and drizzle with a little golden syrup if it isn't sticky. Serve with custard or just eat it in wedges at the kitchen counter before anyone else notices.

This Jamie Oliver recipe is delicious, I double the plums and skim most of the duck fat off the sauce before serving: https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/duck/sweet-duck-legs-cooked-with-plums-and-star-anise/

Always freeze my plums, reheated and hot custard on a cold winters night, seems a waste to make jam with plums.

So long as eaten within 6months, they taste exactly the same as fresh boiled plums.
