it might be potatoes dauphinoise which is potatoes sliced thin and baked in cream
or possibly Boulangère potatoes (scroll down), which is potatoes and onions baked in milk and stock,
or Potatoes Anna which is just potatoes and butter.

Do please type in English though, it makes it much easier to understand....

I do good potatoe bake thing.

Slice your potatoes, cut up an onion into good size chunks, bit of garlic, throw into an oven dish, then pour over a tin of mushroom soup maybe two if you have alot of potatoes and a little bit of butter on top. Whack it in the oven for an hour ish.

Well MRSBADGER I was upset, and extremly embarrassed by what apeared to me, three people (grown women!). Taking the rip out of someone else . So no, not everyone is happy !!! Thankyou again for the recipes my children thoroughly enjoyed the POTATO DUAPHINOISE , but i can safetly say i have learnt my lesson and will by a cookery book and not ask anyone for advise ever again!!!
