Ready cooked mussels recipe? Not in shells...

Hi!

I love mussels and would usually have them cooked in their shells in a garlicky/tomatoey/spicy sauce with bread as a starter. But I've just got a couple of packs of ready cooked mussels and would like to make a proper main meal of them. Any recommendations? I guess just some kind of spicy stir fry or ramen is the most obvious choice... any other suggestions?

Also ideally relatively quick and easy as they were in the reduced section so need to be today's dinner! Thanks 😊

I would fry up some garlic in olive oil, add passata and oregano/basil/parsley, then add in cooked linguine and the mussels. Heat through for a few minutes and eat wearing a bib or tucked in tea towel!

Ooh thanks @AnotherOneGone for some reason I didn't even think of pasta as an option!

I'd fry shallots & garlic in olive oil, add cream & white wine, & gently warm them.
Either pasta, or bread to dunk.

This is the kind of thing I'd usually go for but I just wanted something a bit more substantial in terms of veg etc to make it into a main. Think pasta may be the way to go though! Thanks 😊

Sounds delicious but DH has a weird mushroom aversion 😔

As PP. We do parsley, mussels, a tin of crab meat, fresh linguine, loads of garlic and a ton of fresh olive oil.

Fry onions with white wine, then add the mussels with some prawns and tarragon. I sometimes also add tinned crab meat or some smoked salmon and we have it with spaghetti or tagliatelle.

I read that as eat them wearing a bib or tucked inside a tea towel. Think I've had at least 3 too many baileys 😂😂----
