Freezing chips

I have a lot of home-grown potatoes.
Is it possible to cut them into chips and freeze them and keep them? I would then cook the chips in my air fryer. I think I could spray them with a little oil either before freezing of part way through cooking them.
Would this work? I don’t want to waste a lot of time, and potatoes trying this if it a stupid idea.

You need to Blanch them first.

@Brobdingnagian Thanks for that. I suspected there was more to it than chucking them in a freezer bag. I had no idea how to blanch anything but now I know 😀
