Nectar prices only with smart scanner

I’ve just come across a thread that said you only get nectar prices in store when you use smart scanner. Is this right? Does this mean when I’ve used my nectar card at the till that I haven’t been accessing the food deals?!

Total rubbish.

You scan the nectar card at the till and it is applied then.

If you use the scanner it applies it as you shop.

There are Nectar prices and there are personalized prices which you get through Nectar app and the latter ones only available if you shop online or with Smart shop in store.

It is correct for the sainsburys local shops (the smaller shops) - there you have to use the smartshop app for the nectar prices. They don't apply the nectar prices at check out in those shops.

To clarify, I meant the personalised nectar prices.

A Mumsnetter has clearly had one too many glasses of (Sainsbury's) wine. You get the nectar price Check your receipts. It's all there. Total - nectar price discounts
