Recipes using those rice packets

I have one recipe using a Mexican rice packet (chicken, peppers, rice, cream cheese) and would like some more. It’s for quick mid week meals with not too much prep. It’s to stop us having too much pasta!

@soupfiend , seriously, boiling rice is no harder than microwaving a pouch.
I live alone and am lazy, so you can trust me on that one. Make enough for leftovers if you like.

Forgot to add, I put chopped up sun-dried tomatoes mixed in to the rice as well.

@MayaPinion , I make those too. Sometimes use ful medames (spelling) and not add cheese & wraps

Im perfectly able to make rice, I make it a lot for other people even though I dont eat it much myself

But there is nothing wrong with packets of ready cooked rice, these threads are notorious for someone declaring they must instruct everyone how to cook rice or whatever the subject is about, like we dont know. And I dont know why you would use declarations of whether someone is or isnt 'lazy', there is no moral judgement or personality characteristic in picking a particular food or cooking method for something.

But its not the same as a min or two in the microwave or chucking in a pan to fry up with other stuff.

I don't eat fried food, @soupfiend . Yuk. All that grease.

You can use white rice, add chicken, extra veg etc with this

Thanks. I’m definitely going ti try a few things from here and those Merchant packs.

I don’t actually eat takeaway/ready meals so these things fill that void of just picking up things for me. I do cook rice but sometimes I want to fling everything into one pot, I do want to add those multi grain ones in as well.

I love the Merchant Gourmet pouches. Most of them don't have any UPF ingredients and have lots of grains I wouldn't normally eat. Loads of recipe suggestions on their website. https://www.merchant-gourmet.com/pages/recipes-meals-ideas

I love these, often have them with salad and halloumi
