Chickpeas

How many grams of dried chickpeas will I need to cook to produce the equivalent of 2 x 400g cans, please?
I can only find US measures when I search.

Help please, maths is not my strong point, & I have no idea what a "cup" means.

Ottelenghi says 200g dry peas: 2 tins cooked chick peas.
Have always found his recipes to be spot on, although not cooked dry peas in decades

A cup is the same in volume as a 250ml /8oz measure.

Trust Ottolenghi 👍 they double when soaked overnight
