Freezing pasta bake

Hi all, my son is really picky but will eat tomato pasta so I wanted to freeze some pasta bakes for when needed. I'm going to make the sauce in the slow cooker but should I cook the pasta before freezing it?

I’d probably freeze the sauce and then cook the pasta as and when you want to eat it, but you could freeze the cooked pasta all assembled ready to go in the oven. I find it tends to go a bit soggy, but it’ll freeze and defrost fine, and you could brown it off in the oven to help it crisp up a bit.

Agree with pp. I would just freeze the sauce and cook pasta when needed.

I've tried deliberately undercooking pasta bakes for the freezer, but the pasta is always soggy when re-heated.
So I'd cook the pasta fresh each time.

Great, thanks for all your advice! I will give that a go
