How to make mince and dumplings?

I'm not the best cook but want to make my partner mince and dumplings
For my first try just using bisto for gravy.

Can anyone give me a simple breakdown of what I do ?
I know 5% mince
Dumpling mix
Carrots
Can anyone put them in a recipe ?

Put the oven on 180 to heat.

I would brown off the mince. Put to one side.
finely dice an onion - fry them on medium until onions are soft.
Add the mince back in and season.
Add some finely chopped carrots.
Then add some sort of liquid, instant gravy is fine.
Then let it bubble away for a bit

Make dumplings as per instructions.
Transfer beef mix to casserole dish, put dumplings in top, bung in oven until the dumplings are brined nicely.

Id serve with some sort of green veg, probably broccoli or savoy cabbage.

Might go crazy an add frozen peas too

Instead of gravy I use a tin of tomatoes and a stock cube
