Can I freeze, transport, then put in another freezer?

Can I batch cook and freeze e.g. lasagnas, chilli con carne, then transport it (cool bag, 4 frozen ice blocks) and then transport it for 2 hours, and put in another freezer?

Will it be OK?

I think it’ll be too much for me to batch cook the day before and keep in fridge, then move and freeze, although this would be better.

I would,.no problem.

Frozen food in supermarket grocery deliveries typically spend at least that long out of the freezer.

I would say yes. In a freezer bag with other frozen items plus the ice blocks, they won't have defrosted in that time so fine to put straight into other freezer.

Of course, I'd do that without even the freezer bags. Unless was hot weather. Stuff takes hours to defrost

Depends how long it is out of the freezer for and if it becomes defrosted.

If you are travelling a long distance on a hot day / in a hot car then no. Short distance cool day then probably fine.

Supermarket foods are packed in sterile protective atmospheres so can tolerate longer periods at warmer temperatures than home cooked food

I've transported food like this to my Mum's for years, albeit in a cool box so possibly more insulated. I wouldn't even risk it if they had started to defrost but not at all.
If you can fill the box/bag it will help.

A frozen lasagne is essentially an ice block of its own. It will be fine for 2 hours :)
