Where to buy game?

I used to buy game from Wild and Game, but just went to have a look on their website and they seem to have disappeared. It looks as though they're no longer trading.

Does anyone know of anywhere else that we can buy reasonably priced game? Particularly venison joints or pheasant breasts?

I'm quite gutted actually. W&G were great and we'll really miss them!

Ask locally to you. There is always someone who does vermin control on a local farm and will supply restaurants, farm shops, etc but they’re usually happy to sell a very reasonable retail prices too. If you have the freezer space (we have a chest freezer), you can also get a good deal buying, say, a whole venison as will be cheaper per kg than buying some steaks individually.

Do you have a independent butchers?
They'll be able to get you some or know where to get some.
