Don't have a bread pan and have already made the dough! What do I put it in now, any ideas? Not sure how to shape it and just plop it on a baking tray?

Yes, you could shape it in a ball or whatever and plop on tray. Jamie Oliver uses a flowerpot in one of his books - depends what shape you want it!

You could roll it out like pastry, then roll up like a swiss roll to make a french stick shape.

Otherwise do what I did last night and shape it into a roughly circular lump and whack it on a baking tray/pizza dish.

Slash several cuts into the dough diagonally with the blade at an angle for that artlessly rustic effect... hope it goes well!

Oh is that how you do a French stick lovecat? Mine are always thicker at one end than the other!

That's how I've been told you do it, Katy... seems to work for my friend who makes her own bread (I'm a late starter, only made my first ever loaf last night!)

Kathy, sorry. Can't read. Given that I'm a Cathy myself, you'd think I'd have got it right, wouldn't you?
