I love Greek and Turkish foods but running out of simple recipes and need more inspiration. What are your go-to recipes?

Have a look at Meliz cooks I have tried so many of her recipes and they've all been incredible!

chefmarinie on Instagram is fantastic inspiration. She's just done a mini series called "eat like a greek". She's doing some greek/Indian fusion food now- hopefully some Turkish will appear in the future!

@groggygirl - I like Htipiti - I was given a jar as part of a Greek hamper. It was delish - and I now make it. There are loads of recipes on the web - I do this one less the spring onions www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/lamb-chops-with-thyme-chilli-greek-htipiti

Georgina Hayden is a Greek-Cypriot food writer and her recipes are lovey.

Turkish gözleme! Can use a variety of different fillings, I'm a vegetarian so my go to is feta and spinach or potato which is my favourite. I also second Meliz cooks & Özlem's Turkish table cookbook

Have yo got any of her books? I have been wanting to buy one but dont' see them in the shops so have to do it online and I like to look through before I commit.

Plaki, made in the instant pot with gigantes beans bought from Greece via Amazon. Perfect to make on a day like today when awaiting lunch guests who are stuck in traffic. Crumbled feta, fresh parsley and squeezed lemon over the plate, and tasty bread to dip in the tomato sauce.

Happy Foodie can be a great place to try out some recipes before committing to a book, authors often put forward a number recipes from each book they release, there's a good amount for Meliz. Amazon also let you look at the first part of all books online, depending on the way the book is organised you can see some recipes and contents.

I'll check that out. I do the Amazon thing but it's always breakfasts. I am 100% uninterested in breakfast recipes!!!
