Making bread

I have just made some bread with my daughter. We are waiting for it to prove. It's a hedgehog loaf and a plated loaf.
I can't remember if I need to put a wash on it - (milk, egg, water?) Before I bake it. Please help me out!

If it’s just a water,flour, salt, fat, yeast mixture the answer is no.
