Isit normal that I like to eat my sons snacks

I'm a 32 year old dad, with a 2 year old son.

The fridge is stocked with cheese strings and dairylea lunchables.

When he goes to sleep I can't resist eating them, as when I was growing up my mum would by me them too.

Does anyone else do this ?

No. You need some self control.

You can have a snack of course. As long as you aren't eating them all!!

I have some of my DS snacks. Not all cloak and dagger though 😂 just if I fancy one. Quite partial to a Dairylea dunker now and again, though I’m aware all these are UPF crap and try not to get too many

Hermittrismegistus · 18/07/2024 21:58

Why not buy your own snacks?

Christ sake ! Harsh or what !!

I think it’s normal. I always say the food in the house is for everyone who lives here so no one can “steal” food. If there’s something specific I might say to DH oh please leave that for the kids but other than that it’s fine. Just buy extra of the snacks next time !

House food is for everyone but why would you feed that crap to your son?

Takeyourshoesoff · 18/07/2024 22:18

Nothing like an ice cold drink, a bag of hula hoops and half a net of Babybel cheeses after a busy day.

YANBU, dairyleas are delicious, I buy babybels and dunkers for myself. Presumably as you bought them they are in fact your snacks and not owned by your 2yo, and therefore you can do with them as you wish

Thanks for that. That's really reassuring and makes me feel better.

also to the person who mentioned dairylea dunkers. The jumbo tubes are the best ones.
