I'm after restaurant recommendations for Manchester please ? Unsure
If that's a travel or food/recipe request ?
No specific type as treating my parents and they will eat / try most things,
Thanks .

El Gato Negro Tapas on King St. The best Tapas ever. Lovely venue too.

The Blackfriar Salford.

Depends on your budget - The French@ Midland Hotel.

Salvis Italian (they have a few in city) , plus a deli you can buy gorgeous stuff from 😋

Albert's Shed Castlefield. Nice to sit out ( weather permitting).

I could go on cos I love food and I live in Manchester🤣. Enjoy x

Teppanyaki Chinatown

Higher Ground is very popular.

Hawksmoor is my go-to

Rice Bowl, Cross Street. One of the best Chinese meals we've had. Or The Wharf in Castlefield.

We always go to Dishoom when visiting Manchester as we don’t have one in Leeds and I love it.

its more a relaxed daytime venue than a fancy evening dinner though.

Always wanted to try Dishoom so that may feature for a lunch , am checking out all the other suggestions to ! Thank you all .

I think dishoom is massively overrated.

Double Zero
10 Tib Lane
Another Hand
Higher Ground

Maybe I badly ordered but I thought Double Zero was rank.

10 Tib Lane is fab for drinks as well as food! On the theme of drinks I love Blinker, Speak in Code, and Sterling for cocktails too, all very different vibes so worth looking them up to see what would suit the parents.

I love Dishoom, but as I have one in my city I don't visit in others. Their omelette + fire toast + chai is a stellar breakfast.

Book in advance for dishoom

The Tiffin Room is also really nice.

We eat out in Manchester occasionally so am enjoying learning about restaurants I'd not heard of.

Do you have a budget in mind OP, this might help narrow down the many choices.

Sapporo Tepanyaki is an experience if they've not been there before, as is Fazenda (if they have decent appetites).

El Gato Negro already mentioned is one of my favourites, I also like Australasia.

Thaikun is more 'down to earth', very tasty and more budget friendly.

If they would prefer something more traditional, we've enjoyed Browns Brasserie.

If it's convenient for where you choose to eat, and they'd enjoy views of the city and people watching, 20 Stories is a good place for a drink but I find the food underwhelming and over priced.

There's a list of links now on my family what's app group that's getting good debate !
No decision yet but loving the options we now have thank you .

We went to a place called Eat Meat when we were in Manchester and thought it was really good. We're going back in September so will be going back there and checking out some of these recommendations!
