These ones, Schar Hamburger, need to be toasted. They're what Honest Burger use and they're pretty good.

I've never tried the Schar buns mentioned by pp but we like the Genius Brioche burger buns

Tesco gf brioche buns are pretty good toasted.
I miss doughy bread :(

Scampuss · 29/06/2024 12:31

I've found that the brioche style ones get soggy and fall apart even when toasted. the Schar ones hold together much better.

But, I mostly use the new Warburtons pittas for everything needing a bun or a wrap now as they don't fall apart and you can get loads of salad and sauces in without it all falling out!

Dilbertian · 29/06/2024 15:22

I may not be able to toast them.

Genius brioche buns are tasty. fall apart quite quickly though

If you can't toast them, the Warburtons square rolls might be the best option as they're ready sliced and most people seem to like them (I think they smell vile, but it seems to be a minority of us who can smell whatever it is that makes some GF breads and wraps smell nasty!).

I second the Warburtons square rolls but my fave are M&S buns, white ones or Tiger rolls

Not inspired by your descriptions of brioche buns, and unable to find most of the other recommendations, I've tried out some wraps.

By far and away the winner is Old El Passo GF Tortillas. Delicious, good texture, flexible and holds together well. Not big enough to wrap around a whole burger, but fine for a sausage, half-burger or kebab.

That said, I've just made myself a quesadilla using BeFree Sweet Potato wraps; while they were rather nasty cold, they make an excellent quesadilla.
