Iced coffee at home

I've recently discovered iced lattes (everyone else has probably been drinking them for ever) but I was recommended to try something with caffeine in addition tofrom my usual water to help with some meds. But good lord they're expensive.

I work 9-1 and would like 2 in that time but don't have access to a fridge or freezer. I have a kettle. Obviously I could drink coke or tea, but I just liked this and am trying to work out if it's doable but a 5yo that doesn't sleep is not conducive to problem solving!

Also is instant coffee likely to work or do I need ground?

If you only have a kettle and instant I would add a small amount of boiling water to a tablespoon or so of instant and then leave it to cool.
Take a container of frozen milk (I pop some in a freezer bag in the fridge but something more solid may be transportable) and then pop that it. If its out of the fridge by the time you come to use it it should be very cold but not completely frozen. If its too solid then don't let the coffee cool down before adding.
DD adds flavoured syrup to hers as well or you could use one of those flavoured instant coffees I see in the supermarket
I don't drink instant but I think it could work

Make them the night before and take in a flask?

This sort of thing- or a fancier branded version! https://www.lidl.co.uk/p/ernesto-stainless-steel-insulated-travel-mug/p10015292?pageId=10048919&tabCode=Next_Sales_Week

If you made the night before, added ice, you could just drink as and when you wish.

Instant would be fine, although if you're a coffee fiend you'd prefer ground anyway. It usually needs a bit of boiling water to dissolve the granules, so you'd want to ensure you cooled it right down.
