Challenge - something sweet, small cakes/sweet stuff for kid's birthday party

I have a birthday party with DNephew this Friday, trying to use up store cupboard bits, so I have:

  • dark brown sugar
  • plain and self raising powder and baking powder
  • eggs
  • bananas
  • dessicated coconut
  • small cupcake cases
  • cocoa powder
  • currants
  • butter

What could I make that's relatively easy? Tray bake? Blondies are light brown sugar right? Flapjacks?

Have you got any white sugar?
I'd make chocolate cupcakes with half brown sugar, half white sugar.
And u e them with butter icing, Glace icing and sprinkles or melted chocolate.

No, but I can get some, caster sugar. Good shout. I think I'll do that and shove chocolate buttons on them.

The only icing sugar I've got inexplicably is royal icing sugar - unopened!

Banana muffins would work.

Ooh yes. I just got the chocolate sprinkles but I don't know if I can face doing buttercream icing today/tomorrow!
