Anyone seen this before? Black up both legs? Worried it may have gone bad?

I wouldnt eat it

it looks bloody awful

ChrisPPancake · 10/06/2024 11:06

Was it like that when you bought it or has it changed? It kind of looks like varicose veins/bruising to me.

What does it smell like? If it smells even remotely off then I wouldn't eat it.

I'm inclined to think bruising/rough butchering, too.

I would smell it, preferably up its bum. If it smells all right, I would cook it.

longdistanceclaraclara · 10/06/2024 13:01

I don't think I could eat that.

That is just the feet, they are normally removed before the chicken is sold in the UK, so the actual chicken looks fine.

I think it’s bruising or skin pigmentation. They can also get burns from sitting in their own excrement in cages that causes dark marks 😟

Does it smell or feel slimy?
