I simply cannot manage the household as it is and so am thinking about doing online groceries. I've not done it before although I use online for nearly everything else! I've also done hello fresh and similar in the past too. Which supermarket is the best and does it vary area to area? Anything I should know before trying this out pleaae?

Hi @qwertyasdfgzxcv I switched to online groceries during lockdown and have never gone back! Have used Tesco and Sainsbury’s and they are much the same imo. The only things I have found tricky are knowing the weight I want of things like a beef joint for roasting and sometimes you get random size veg. I ordered 6 jacket potatoes on one order some were massive and others the size of new potatoes so worth using the note function to ask for the size you want. I think it saves me money as I only buy what I need and don’t ‘see’ treats like I would in the supermarket.

It initially seems expensive but better than Gousto for me I think! I've been playing around with the Ocado app and like that it's giving me recipes and then I can add the ingredients to the basket. Do the other supermarkets do that? I have a clubcard so tesco would probably be best for me.

I def agree re the treats bit and I think it should help me think through what I actually want to cook
