Baked treats for a coffee morning

If you were attending a fundraising coffee morning, what item(s) would you most like to have with your hot beverage?

I'm a competent baker but a bit bored with the usual suspects - lemon drizzle cake, carrot cake, chocolate brownies which is too rich for the morning anyway.

Thanks.

Coconut and cherry scones - delicious

Lemon drizzle is one of those that dh seem to bring back most times when he runs one with Scouts.

Is that mostly kids though… if so they will always pick the one that looks the most chocolatey or covered in sprinkles. Adults are more discerning, I love a lemon drizzle (especially if looks properly soaked in lemon juice syrup)

• Almond cantucci
• Cinnamon rolls (either American, fluffy with cream cheese frosting, or Swedish with extra spice, but never the crap, flattish UK ones!)
• Savoury muffins (like what's normally blueberry), once ate some courgette & cheese ones, they were delicious.

To be honest I'd hoover up half a dozen decent almond croissants.

Honestly a small slice of a Victorian sandwich cake with raspberry jam filling. DC would all go for chocolate cake and DH a walnut cake.

I make these for work. Last time I made 100 and they were gone in 20 mins Blush they're like a cross between a hobnob and a flapjack

I make these as well they never last long in this house

I really like an American style coffee cake - which is like a tray bake sponge with cinnamon/sugar crumb topping.

Thank you all for your ideas, and a special shout out to the poster(s) who suggested friands, as that is what I went for in the end but in muffin cases rather than friand mould.
Just needs a dusting of icing sugar now.

Also made a batch of lemon and white chocolate cookies.

Fruit cake. Coffee shops don't seem to sell it any more, apart from richer Christmas cake at Christmas. I love it.

They look delicious 😋

My GM use to make a Farmhouse fruitcake - what I’d give now for a big slice with a pot of tea ☕️

I make banana bread with brown sugar on top before baking. Always popular.

I absolutely love borek. You can make it with cheese, spinach, potato, minced meat, I think you could do a sweet one too like a baklava.
I dk how to make it but it's filo pastry rolled with filling and made into a wheel shape.
I like savoury pastries earlier in the day personally.
