Pomegranate molasses

I have found an unopened jar in the cupboard.

Recipe suggestions gratefully received.

I use chicken quarters and add strips of red pepper and add some red wine or chicken stock to make more sauce, but that's just personal preference.

That BBC recipe doesn't use pomegranate molasses?
I don't have any recipes to offer sadly (so I'm following this thread for ideas!), but I do use it on grilled halloumi, and in houmous.

This is delicious but I do leave most of the sauce in the pan, and just take out the chicken plus serve it with yoghurt or sour cream in a flat bread with salad to cut through as the sauce is a bit tart (but delicious in small quantities!)

I pour it over kubbeh in a wrap. I really really like pomegranate molasses. It gives a sharp note that is sweet and fruity and excellent. So wherever you need that, really.

Look up Sabrina Ghayour. She uses it in loads of her recipes - one of my favourites is glazed pomegranate chicken skewers, I do them for picnics.

Roast some peppers courgette and mushroom and drizzle with pomegranate molasses

Also, an unusual side dish for barbecue meals:
On the BBQ, cut a large onion into eighths and put those wedges on a couple of skewers and cook until the edges have charred.
Slide the onion off the skewers into a bowl, dress with pomegranate molasses and lemon juice, a good sprinkling of salt, and top with pomegranate seeds.

I made this Meera Sodha recipe recently and was really impressed by it.

I used to use with feta cheese in a salad.

I do something similar to this. It's delicious. I'd serve with couscous and roasted vine tomatoes rather than shoving in a pita.

You're quite right. I should have noticed. What I do is use chicken quarters and coat them generously in pomegranate molasses!

There's a Persian dish called fesenjan that is sooo good. Slow cooked chicken with pomegranate molasses and walnuts.
