Milk

I've usually bought my milk from Sainsbury's. Not that long ago a 4 pint would still be usable a good 5 days after the best by date. Recently it's barely been 2 days. Anyone else notice that milk goes off quicker? I never have it out of the fridge for longer than needs to and the fridge isn't opened and closed too much & it's at 5 degrees

I only buy 1 pint, & it lasts a week - well beyond the use-by date.

The milk is not refrigerated in supermarkets, presumably because of high turnover.

Perhaps the 4-pint is not a popular buy in your Sainsbo, & it's left at ambient temperature before you buy it ? Just a guess.
It is in mine; a number of customers make paneer with it.

Milk is refrigerated in the supermarket. We've started buying the filtered stuff as it lasts longer
