Going on a fishing trip tomorrow, leaving at 4am. It's autumn where we are and will be very cold out on the ocean.

If you were going what would you put in a thermos for breakfast?

I'd put cooked sausages in and separately take a buttered roll to convert into a sausage sandwich out at sea.

Or take porridge in the thermos and just wrap hot bacon/sausage sandwiches in tinfoil and a tea towel to insulate them.

Ooh, an apple crumble perhaps? With vanilla, lemon rind and a clove or two.

Topping being oats, sweet nuts, brown sugar whizzed with enough butter to get the texture you want.

Cook it up, spoon it into your hot thermos and have a long spoon handy. You will feel good after a bit of that.

How about some hot oil to fry your catch ?
