Mint jelly crisis

I know it doesn’t in any way follow current food trends. It’s also probably very unhealthy.

But…. where the hell has Coleman’s mint jelly gone?

I can’t find it anywhere.

If anyone spots it I would be very grateful to know where!

Back to the 1950s where it belongs!!
On a truthful note though I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen it in about 20 years

Asda does an oven brand version....

JackieQueen · 10/05/2024 17:53

I got some in tescos a couple of weeks ago so it's still around

Caddisfly · 10/05/2024 18:05

@JackieQueen - not in my massive local Tesco sadly. Gutted. Maybe I will try some others further afield.

I seem to remember one of the own brands being similar, but can’t remember which one. Will give the Asda one a try. I’ve been fooled before into trying ‘other’ Mint Jelly brands. Both own brands and fancy ones - Bay Tree, Tracklements etc. They aren’t right - it really is mint jelly roulette.

Same as mint sauce to be honest. Coleman’s can be used to make up the perfect takeaway replica mint/yoghurt sauce.

Not for a few years, the last few has only been mint sauce or mint concentrate

Caddisfly · 10/05/2024 18:13

If I google Coleman’s Mint Jelly - nothing.

Like it never even existed. 😥

M&S still sell it I believe.

Hereallweek · 10/05/2024 19:56

Just checked and Ocado no longer seem to have it either, but they do have four other brands of mint jelly

Tummelthecat · 12/05/2024 12:57

I feel your pain, and our tesco has it…. intermittently. It is a bit of a mystery!
