Been thoroughly enjoying wild garlic this year (responsibly foraging of course)!

What's your fave way to preserve it for use out of season? Haven't tried this at all yet.

You can freeze it whole and then just chop some off with scissors when you want to use. Or make wild garlic butter. Or put it in things like soups that you freeze.

That said, I tend not to freeze it because it's one of those seasonal things I enjoy because it has a season.

Wild garlic and nettle soup is lovely by the way. I make it every year.

that's actually a very poignant and nice way to think about it. I think i too shall join in enjoying it seasonally rather than overdoing the preserving :) Though maybe also make some garlic butter. I was thinking maybe garlic oil?! But thanks for the other response too!!
