Soak chips in cold water for c.30 mins, change the water a few times.

Drain & dry in a tea towel, toss in oil. Pre-heat AF to 160, cook for 18 mins, turn up to 180 for another 12 minutes.

Shake the basket a few times during cooking, & don't overload it.

I use this recipe for oven chips. Parboiling is a faff, but makes such a huge difference to the product. Nothing baked will match properly fried chips though!

I don't use an airfryer but happened to be watching a tv segment this morning on them and the chef said the best way is chop up your potatoes, rinse and drain then into a bowl and into the microwave first for 10/12 mins, this dries them out and part cooks, then into AF for another 12 mins. Easier than parboiling as they don't disintegrate. Oil was sprayed on them too, not sure if that was before or after microwave. Not that fast though!
