What can I do with a tin of mandarin oranges?

Hi all, I'm looking for ideas of a quick and easy (hot or cold) dessert I can rustle up with said tin of mandarins. I wasn't going to bother with doing a pud today, but we now have an extra family member joining us, so perhaps we need one after all.

Any suggestions welcome!

Ooh, I remember this from Year 8 Home Economics - you need one of those flan cases made of cake, a packet of orange jelly, some squirty cream and a packet of those sugared orange slices that you used to get at Christmas in the 80s. Arrange the mandarin bits in the flan case, pour over the jelly and when set, garnish with squirts of cream and top each squirt with a sugared orange. Magnificent!

I love this idea for a retro pudding, going to do this for my mum one day she'll love a bit of nostalgia.

It's made and looks adequate. I've used some of the juice mixed with sugar to drizzle over the top as well.

A pub I used to go to many years ago had a lovely pudding on the menu. Fill a meringue nest with tinned mandarins. Top with ice cream then cover the whole thing in squirty cream. Pour a shot of Cointreau over the top. Yum.

Thank you all so much everyone, I can report that it tasted bloody lovely!

My favourite is a meringue base with a layer of lemon curd, topped with the mandarins. Dead simple and utterly delicious.

My mum used to do a flan with a bought flan case topped
With tinned oranges in orange jelly and squirty cream. I think I need to revive this.

I have been known to make that. Not for years and years though. I have also been known to make them with tinned strawberries. I think we used Quick-jel.

I just mix them with yoghurt.

I would just eat them straight out of the tin
