Lemon cake with just lemon juice?

I want to make a loaf cake but I only have lemon juice

any ideas for how I use this without actual lemon zest?

@LilacPear FFS-if you had only planted a seed 10 years ago you would have a lemon tree by now and you could just pick one if you had built a greenhouse. What's WRONG with you????????

Ps-I would make a glaze of lemon juice and icing sugar. That will up the lemonyness.

Make normal cake, with lemon drizzle
Heat icing sugar and lemon juice until clearer but not boiling
When cake is still hot, stab holes in it and pour drizzle over :)

If I was able to get one before wandering into my kitchen and doing some toddler baking, i wouldn’t be wasting my time posting on here for how you use pure juice as a substitute

You can make a drizzle but it won’t taste very lemony, just a bit sour. Most of the flavour is in the zest.

You may also need eggs, flour, sugar etc. I think just lemon juice will be a bit odd and won't hold its shape.

Have you got any lemon curd? I mix that in with buttercream for a lemon layer cake filling. And yes, icing sugar mixed with lemon juice is a great glaze. Delia recipes have lemon cake with lemon juice in - you’d just miss out the zest and accept it will be a bit less lemony.
