In an air bnb in Austria with a tiny kitchen... what would you cook?

We have three nights here as part of our holiday before we move on. There's an oven with a baking tray, hobs, microwave and one small frying pan.

We are trying to save some money after an expensive few days- I'm hoping someone might have some ideas for recipes- it's for two adults and two dc. My go to cheapy holiday eats is pasta, which I can't do without a saucepan.

Thank you!!

Ask the host for a saucepan? If you've got a hob, you should be able to use it.

If you have a large bowl, you can microwave pasta, rice and spuds. I'd try and get hold of a pan, though.

Is there a large microwave proof pot? And a kettle? You can do pasta in the microwave if you have a container.

Not exactly exciting, but you could fairly easily do chicken fajitas. If frying pan is very small, roast the veggies in the oven and fry the chicken on the hob. Get wraps, bag of salad, salsa, cheese. Add what you like to the wraps.

Austrian pasta is often designed to be fried! Spatzli, gnochi, small raviolis, melt cheese on top. You can also heat up filled pasta in a mug by pouring boiling water over it.

Otherwise steak or sausages and salad, schnitzel, cordon bleu in a pan or the oven, a readymade jagerschnitzal can be heated in the pan, risotto...

Are you in a town? I’d probably just buy a cheapo saucepan from a supermarket.

I’d buy local ready meal things and snacks and just heat them up. I love a foreign supermarket, especially weird frozen delights

Honestly, cooking for four with one small frying pan will be a pain in the arse over several days.

In der Küche gibt es keine Kochtöpfe. Können Sie uns bitte Töpfe bringen?

Thanks for the suggestions, I did gnocci on a pan, then another night salad and then spetzl then on the day we were leaving found lots of saucepans in a hidden cupboard Blush
