Lemon meringue pie

This is not for me (though I could try it). DM used to make a delicious lemon meringue pie a lot but says she's lost the recipe. It could've been Delia Smith.

Does anyone know of any good lemon meringue pie recipes?

My mother used Mrs Beeton. Although mostly she didn't use a recipe at all...

I'm pretty sure this is the Delia one my mum always made

And yes it's delicious and I have very fond memories of it

I'll forward it to DM. I mean I might have a go at doing it myself but pastry isn't my forte though it is DM's.

Just buy ready made shortbread pastry no need to make it these days but it's very quick in a food processor if you have one

I have all these ingredients maybe I'll give it a go

My DM surprised me by making her lemon meringue pie yesterday and it was delicious

The Delia one sounds pretty much like the one I use from a relative but I use a ready made pastry case as I can't be bothered to make my own!

My DM has tried to show me when I go over how to make pastry (it's her speciality) but I hate it! I can do it, but it's my least favourite thing in the world to do.

My DM has an ancient food processor and it takes a minute to make in there

She did say it was quite a pfaff making the lemon curd and meringue so I don't think she'll be making it again

I usually use Delias recipe for dhs birthday lemon meringue but this year I used Prue Leiths and I felt it was much nicer
