This is my family’s very favourite, the dried fruit I omit because not everyone loves it. Even those who dislike coconut continually chomp away at this! Feel free to add whatever nuts you have in the house. Hope you enjoy it xx

NUTTY CHOCOLATE TIFFIN
Makes 16 squares

8oz (225g) unsalted butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
80z (225g) plain chocolate (look for 50-60 per cent cocoa solids;
1 x 300g pack rich tea biscuits
2oz (50g) blanched hazelnuts/pecans, roughly chopped
2oz (50g) raisins
20z (50g) desiccated coconut

You will also need an 8in (20cm) square tin, very lightly buttered.
Melt the butter, syrup and chocolate together over a low heat, stirring often. Crush the biscuits into fine crumbs with a food processor, then turn into the hot chocolate mixture. Add the chopped
nuts, raisins and coconut and stir well to combine. Once thoroughly mixed, turn into the tin and leave to cool - in the fridge if your kitchen is warm. Once the tiffin is set and completely cold, cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.

Tiffin is a South Asian English word for a type of meal. It refers to a light breakfast or a light tea-time meal at about 3 p.m., consisting of typical tea-time foods.

I was going to suggest dhal, curry and chapatis, but I'm clearly thinking of a different tiffin to the chocolate recipe above! 😆

Of course you are right, however, my mind immediately thought chocolate! I do love dhal, curry and chapatis. I could actually do tiffin for mains and dessert! A marriage made in heaven.
Maybe, the OP will clarify what they had in mind.
Thanks

We made this rocky road fridge cake the other day, which was really nice (didn’t use the rice crispier as didn’t have an).

I know it says rocky road, but it was more tiffin then rocky road. And Easter inspired!
