why will my egg whites not set and go peaky ....

im trying to make a pavlova but all i get is a thick creamy consistency it will not peak ,what am i doing wrong ???
who can give me a fall proof way of making this
please ...

The secret with eggwhites is that there must not be even one speck of yolk in with the whites, and your bowl and wisk must be absolutely clean, dry and free of any grease. If the eggwhites are not wisking up, the chances are there is contamination and nothing you do will rescue it except starting again. - Sorry.

How do you separate your eggs? I use a saucer and an egg cup.
