I have just ordered a great big blender (I am sick of losing the feeling in my arm from using my handheld blender!). So this is an opportunity for me to branch out a bit from my usual soups (carrot/tomato/parsnip). Would any of you be willing to share your tried and tested soup recipes or tell me the name of any soup cookbooks you swear by? Thanks!

I love butternut squash, sweet potato, red lentil and coconut milk. I use lots of garlic, fresh ginger and spices such as cumin, coriander and turmeric.

I moved from a big blender to a stick blender because because I got fed up of transferring from pot to blender

I use a hand blender, but bought one about 10 years ago for a lot of money…!

(Got fed up with the cheap versions breaking after a year or two.)

Anyway… my soup cookbooks would be the ones produced by The Covent Garden Soup Co.

They produced a few more versions too.

Another vote for the Covent Garden soup books here - I've been cooking their lentil & lemon soup and the carrot & miso one from their first book for twenty years and they're still great!

Thanks for the suggestions - I knew I was taking a risk of ending up buying multiple books when I started this thread 😀
