American Corned Beef?!

Need your advice American recipe Mnetters

so I’m wanting to make a Reuben Slider thing for St Patrick’s day and I just don’t know what to substitute American Corned beef with?
as far as I can tell it’s a pickled beef brisket?
husband suggested pastrami from an Italian deli?
and ideas welcomed!

I'd use salt beef.

any ideas what this is called in the UK? Not sure what I would be asking for?

Salt beef you can get it in M&S.

Salt beef. Pastrami is an okay substitute if unable to get salt beef but the flavour is different.
