Dairy free snacks?

Hi!

Can anyone recommend dairy free snacks? I feel like I’m being duped in the supermarket buying all the expensive ‘free from’ snacks. I’m sure there are plenty on the regular shelf I just don’t know where to start!

I have a big sweet tooth and am missing my butter slathered scones 😢

It depends why you are dairy free as some are ' may contain 'due to the production line or methods.

Search for ' accidentally vegan' and they list products which contain no animal products.

Some dark chocolate
Some doughnuts
The lidl fake oreos ( possibly real oreos )

I've used vitalite in home baking.

Some crackers with chutney
Some bread sticks, certain types of dairy free cream cheese is nice to go with it.
Rice cakes
Macaroons
Crisps
Peanut butter
Humous with cucumber and carrots

Party Rings
Hot Cross Buns
Jammy dodgers
Gingerbread
Jam tarts

My daughter is dairy intolerant and just by looking at the ingredients I've managed to find lots. I avoid buying from 'free from' for both price and taste.

Oreo's
Tesco own brand Bakewell tarts (possibly the apple pies too)
Dark chocolate rice cakes
Most other rice cakes
Pink wafers
Twiglets
Yo-yo bears and the others in the range
Soreen
Kettle chips - salt and vinegar
Skips
Skittles
Refresher chews (plus quite a lot of others by the same brand)
Galaxy vegan chocolate is yummy!
Party rings
Biscoff biscuits

Clearly my go to snacks aren't very healthy! 🤭

Not all hot cross buns. The only dairy free ones in M&S, now, are the plant kitchen and made without ones. They put dairy in so many things, even most of their free from range, but their sticky ginger loaf has escaped, so far.

Ds2's go to dairy free snacks (apart from the obligatory hot cross buns for breakfast) are soreen, frusli bars and jammy dodgers.

I'm dairy free and I make scones with oat milk. They're great. Flora plant butter on top is also very, very nice

Gardendestroyedbymydog · 08/03/2024 21:44

Oh, and the scones freeze fine

Bourbon biscuits , digestives, pink wafers, fig rolls

Soreen

Hard boiled eggs
Cocktail sausages
Rice cakes
Rice cakes and peanut butter 😋

The mint Skinny bars are milk free.

Lotus biscuits are DF too. They should help with your sugar cravings Wink

Thank you all! I am delighted to hear soreen is DF 🙌🏻

Loads of great recommendations here. But I will add, for those with a sweet tooth, Mint Poppets, "Fake" After Eight Mints plus the dark chocolate "Twin Peaks" Bar in Poundland!
